This 1110m2 extension to the existing post primary school is single storey with split level organisation to facilitate existing changes in floor level. The extension area is located centrally in order to tie together 3 separate elements of the existing school into a single, connected school building. The extension included specialist classrooms, administrative offices, social spaces and toilets. Externally, new vehicular and pedestrian entrances and parking areas were constructed. This €1.5 million complicated project involved construction centrally within a live school environment and detailed phasing arrangements were necessary.
